Rotary Evaporator Usage
How to form a complete set of rotary evaporator:
Zhengzhou Greatwall Scientific Industrial and Trade Co.,Ltd. R series 0.5 liter to 2 liters small scale laboratory rotary evaporators, 5 liters to 50 liters pilot scale rotary evaporators, adopts PTFE and fluorous rubber double sealing,patent technology ensures high vacuum, PID temperature control has precise temperature.
Can be matched with DL series recirculating chiller, the compressor is world famous brand Embraco(Brazil), Copeland(United States) etc.. Hermetic recirculating system can prevent the refrigerant from being polluted and volatilized. The refrigerant is CFC-free and in accordance with the international standard.
We can also provide you with SHB-III series water circulating vacuum pump, SHB-B95 series water circulating vacuum pump, MP series diaphragm vacuum pump, RJHS series solvent recovery system.
The proper use of rotary evaporator:
1. Check whether the rotary evaporator and cooling medium tube is connected in the right way or not.
2. Open the power of chiller, vacuum pump, heating bath and rotary evaporator.
3. Turn on the chiller to make the cooling medium go through the condenser, then check if there's any leakage of the tube; turn on the vaucum pump and check if there's any leakage of tube.
4. Set the temperature of chiller and the vacuum degree(if you have vacuum controller); set the temperature of heating bath, waiting for the heating medium reach its working temperature.
5. Put the distillated liquid into the evaporating flask, ensure the volume don't exceed 2/3 of the flask; install the flask on the rotary evaporator, set the rotation speed start working.
6. When the liquid temperature, vacuum degree and heating bath temperature reach the settled value for a period of time, you can optimize the distillate condition according to the properties of solvent, evaporation speed, recovery rate of condensing.
7. After distillation process, stop rotate, rise the evaporation flask to the surface of bath heating liquid, close the bath power, release the inner pressure according to the operation manual, turn off the vacuum pump and chiller, remove the evaporation flask and collecting flask when it is cool to RT.
8. Clean the rotary evaporator.
